About me.
Welcome to My Grateful Gut.
Join me as I chronicle my efforts to calm my fussy gut and improve my health without comprising on flavour! I’ll share with you the recipes I’ve developed, as well as other techniques I’ve collected. Since 2010, I’ve been 100% gluten and dairy free, so all my recipes are free from gluten and dairy. This diet doesn’t work for everyone, we’re all different after all. But I hope you’ll find some recipes that you fall in love with and that make your gut happy too!

Frequently Asked Questions
Do you only do gluten and dairy free recipes?
Yes! I’ve been gluten and dairy free since 2010 so all my recipes have no gluten or dairy ingredients. Eggs are not technically dairy, so some of my recipes will include eggs, but this will be clear in the ingredients list.
Can vegans use your recipes?
Some of my recipes are suitable for vegans, but not all. Many of my recipes include meat, fish or eggs.
Do your recipes contain protein?
I find a high protein diet helpful since I can’t eat dairy. So I make an effort to include protein in my recipes. That’s why you’ll find many of my recipes contain meat or fish.
What is a “cup” measurement?
I use “cup” measurements rather than weights. I believe the cup measurement originated in America. It’s a bit like using tbsp and tsp instead of weights, it’s quicker and easier. You can purchase a cup measuring kit from most home stores or Amazon (affiliate link). A kit usually includes a 1/4, 1/2 and full cup.
Which kind of meat do you buy?
I always encourage people to get high quality, grass fed, free range meat from a local farm shop. Usually you can visit the farm and see how they treat their animals. My gluten intolerance is so severe that I can’t eat grain fed meat as it makes me ill.
Can someone on a Keto diet use your recipes?
Many of my recipes are suitable for a Keto diet. Each individual recipe will be marked to show if it’s suitable or not. However, there seems to be variation in what people on a Keto diet consider suitable, so I encourage you to check the ingredients list on the recipe you want to make.
Are your recipes Paleo?
Many of my recipes are suitable for a Paleo diet. Each individual recipe will be marked to show if it’s suitable or not. You can also check the ingredients list on the recipe you want to make.
What food processor do you use?
I use a Magimix 520XL food processor (affiliate link). I purchased this food processor in 2020 and use it every day. I absolutely love it.
